School will be over in four days. In that time, I have to take 1 biology quiz, 1 English quiz, 1 English test, 1 Psychology test and write 1 Women’s Studies paper and revise 1 English paper. Oh, and post a bunch on our class discussion boards and earn some extra credit for Women’s Studies. When it’s all over, I will have earned 20 credits!
I have about six weeks off from school and this is what I plan to do:
- Work at Alpha Cine Labs and Carol’s Daycare.
- Take care of MJ as many nights as possible.
- Paint my apartment with SDC
- Apply for as many scholarships and grants as possible.
- Go camping with SDC.
- Attend Jace and Ellen’s wedding in Salem, OR.
- Learn to ride a bike.
- Spend some time with my family and SDC’s family.
I absolutely can’t wait till this is over — schoolwork can be grueling! SDC has had it easy this quarter; he took 10 credits (5 of which he just needs to pass and his GPA won’t be affected) and volunteered somewhat regularly in the ESL department. And, of course, he gets excellent grades with minimal effort. Yes, I am jealous.
The last few months have been very good to our relationship and taught us both enormously on how to be truly considerate and supportive of each other. We both really just want the best for the other and I think we are remembering that more. It additionally has really helped our relationship that none of his friends have harassed me with the songs, text messages and crude language. I know that I shall never want to be friends with them and I don’t feel like they want much to do with me, but I am more at peace with the entire situation. Sometimes I fear that SDC will become like them. I have to remind myself that SDC is really different from them and though he has had beefs with them in the past and done stupid things in his past, he has changed tremendously. The SDC some people recall is really not the SDC that I’ve been in love with for the past year and a half. I digress. Having SDC’s old friends play virtually no role in my life has improved my life considerably. It’s a little cold to say something like that, I know. But most of them were real fucking assholes and I can’t just be 100% down with people who disrespect me. I don’t have a lot of issue with one of SDC’s friends, though — he just claimed I would be a terrible mother and that hit me where it hurts.
